‘Handmade’ options for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in 2014-15 with Travel Indochina

Asia travel experts, Travel Indochina have confirmed continued consistent passenger growth to Indochina as they release their 2014-15 Handmade Holidays Indochina range and brochure, complete with new day tours, cruises and hotels within Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

image002Independent passenger travel to Cambodia has grown 16.5% over 2012 numbers while Laos has experienced a 14% increase over the same period.

According to Travel Indochina Managing Director, Paul Hole, the growth has been steady comparing year on year July ‘12 to July ‘13 figures.

“Interestingly, spend per passenger has increased significantly compared to passenger numbers over this period, especially to Laos, as return visitors are opting to stay for longer,” said Paul.

“It’s important to point out that we’ve also demonstrated our genuine commitment to Indochina with the establishment of our Joint Venture in Laos in May 2013.

“The JV shows we are in the region for the long term, and provides us greater ability to control the quality of products and services that we deliver to our clients.”

Specific changes in the 2014-15 product range include the introduction of:


Hanoi Street Food half day tour, delving into a sample of the city’s hundreds of hidden local food experiences,

Additional space is given to Halong Bay cruise options, which also now includes the new premium cruise boat the Au Co which has fine cabins and large stylish common areas as well as an excellent 2 night programme on the Bay allowing visitors to explore further into more outlying areas not seen on overnight or day trips to Halong.

Ninh Binh Discovery, a two day one night tour exploring the beautiful area including the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu, a boat ride in picturesque Trang An and the imposing and uniquely Vietnamese cathedral at Phat Diem


A half day hiking tour through Kulen Archaelogical Park to explore relics of the Angkorian Empire and spot a range of wildlife,

A half day kayaking experience meandering along the waterways of Prek Toal discovering floating houses and village life.


A 5 day/4 night ‘Mystical Luang Prabang’ cruise package.
