The passionate pâtisserie chefs at Gourmandises Café and Bakery proudly present three exquisite new menu items – a salad, a sandwich and a gateaux – especially in honor of August. Being typically one of the wettest months of the year, the international chefs team has decided to cheer everyone up with creative compositions of prime summer ingredients. They all there to be enjoyed whether in the chic, garden-view surrounds of Gourmandises or to take the office or home.
Beetroot, Mango and Walnut Salad (220THB++) pitches tender roasted beetroot with mixed seasonal leaves against the sweetness of ripe yellow mango tempered by slightly tart green apple. Add to this roasted French walnut and balsamic & red wine vinaigrette and you have the perfect combination of healthiness, color and fulsome flavor.
Mediterranean Sandwich (270THB++). Take freshly baked authentic Italian focaccia bread, carefully slice and fill to overflowing with grilled bell pepper, asparagus and carrot. Top with creamy Middle Eastern hummus and soft feta cheese and finish with seasonal leaves. It’s some sandwich!
Red Velvet Yogurt Mousse Cake (399THB++). With variations on a theme of Red Velvet Cake currently taking the world by storm, the trend finds one of its finest expressions in this deep, mixed-berry red sponge cake layered with cream cheese and natural plain yogurt mousse, finished with fresh summer berries.
