Prepare to be terrier-fied! Fetch a costume for Fido and head to The High Line Hotel’s annual Dog Costume Parade, where your pup could win the grand prize – the Golden Sneaker Award. Starting at 10 AM on Sunday, October 28, face painters, Halloween craft stations, a professional pumpkin carver and treats will trick out the hotel’s front garden in anticipation of the Dog Costume Parade beginning at 11:30 AM. The spooky soiree is entirely free for guests and our Chelsea community.

The day’s fur-ocious festivities:
  • 10 AM – Doors open for dogs and humans to enjoy face painting, crafting and snacks. Dog refreshments will be provided by Lord Jameson Dog Patisserie, a local organic dog treat company.
  • 11 AM – Costumed canines line up for preliminary judging. Categories include the Golden Sneaker Award (top costume), the Corn Dog Award (funniest) and the Hot Dog Award (most stylish).
  • 11:15 AM -The 20 most creative costumes will move on to round two.
  • 11:30 AM – The top 20 dogs will prance the runway in front of an influential panel of judges – Sarah Goldberger, founder of Lord Jameson Dog Patisserie; Paul Brady, editor at Skift; and a special media guest.
  • 12 PM – Actor/model emcees Adrianne Hick (Les Miserables National Tour) and Andrew Foote (Jekyll & Hyde World Tour) will award the prizes. The top three winners will receive a gift basket from Lord Jameson Dog Patisserie.

When the final winning canine is crowned, the party isn’t over: The hotel will be handing out candy to neighborhood trick-or-treaters from 4 PM to 7 PM on October 31.

Halloween is a frightfully fun time of year at The High Line Hotel, which prides itself on free events for its beloved community. Next up: the Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony and the Easter Party and Petting Zoo.
