The partnership will work to further promote Harbour Town’s unique tourism services and facilities, including their dedicated Tourism Lounge, and to provide support in cementing the popular shopping destination within domestic and international tourism markets.
Today, 43 per cent of Harbour Town’s shoppers are considered to be visitors to the Gold Coast with the proportion of non-locals increasing to around two thirds of total traffic during school holiday periods.
As such, Harbour Town has long been a passionate supporter of the tourism industry, actively participating in and contributing to its growth at a local, state and national level, and the Centre looks forward to further enhancing the tourism retail experience on the Gold Coast together with Parker Travel Collection.
Harbour Town Centre Manager, Gary Webb, said while the Centre was originally designed to maximise its appeal to visitors to the region, they continually work to increase their tourism reach and international reputation as Australia’s leading outlet shopping centre.

Due for completion in mid-2016, Harbour Town’s $20 million expansion will increase the Centre’s footprint by 3,500m2 with the addition of up to 25 new stores, plus significant Centre upgrades and a refreshed alfresco dining precinct.
The open-air, palm lined Centre is already home to more than 220 stores including brand direct outlet and clearance stores offering of up to 70 per cent off the recommended retail price on outlet stock across brands such as Coach, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, UGG Australia, Oroton, Nike, and Australia’s first Victoria’s Secret outlet store.
The Tourism Lounge is central to Harbour Town’s tourism roots welcoming independent travellers and tour groups from around Australia and the world with a range of free services and facilities to cater to different cultures including bi-lingual staff, complimentary refreshments, free WiFi, luggage and parcel storage, and a Tourism Club Card for additional discounts in many stores.
Dedicated coach parking is located right outside the front door of the Tourism Lounge for the convenience of groups, with currency exchange and a large souvenir store adjacent. A Prayer Room and Halal dining options are also available in-Centre.
