Harlan Goldstein’s COMFORT Celebrates Christmas with Festive Food for Friends

Harlan Goldstein (Harlan G), Hong Kong’s very own Celebrity and Michelin star chef, is adding a festive flair to his much-loved Lan Kwai Fong eatery, COMFORT.  

unnamed (4)This Christmas, he will introduce several hearty dishes inspired by the festive season which can be enjoyed exclusively only on 24 and 25 December, along with COMFORT’s “Food for Friends” a-la-carte menu.

These festive additions to the menu draw from Harlan G’s own Christmas favourites, with his signature culinary expertise. Diners can enjoy a holiday favourite dubbed “My Slow-Cooked Christmas Turkey” (HK$1,180) a 14 lbs. whole turkey which substitutes the traditional Christmas Turkey ingredients with Italian influence, creating a mouth-watering stuffing with Italian sausage. A homemade gravy reminiscent of home is drizzled on top of the perfectly cooked turkey, whilst a generous helping of glazed yams and spiced cranberry augment the holiday vibe of the meal. This special dish is perfect for families or large groups, feeds 8 to 10 people.

unnamed (5)Harlan G’s famous hand-crafted pasta also gets a festive makeover with a special dish aptly called “Hand-Crafted Mama’s Pappardelle” (HK$238). Apart from featuring the artfully made pasta Harlan G is known for, a Rustic duck ragout, Sunny Side-Up Duck Egg, and Shaved Ricotta Salata gives this dish a country Italian home touch.

Those with an affinity for Christmas desserts will love Harlan G’s “Warm Plum & Raisin Pudding” (HK$78), a quintessential holiday dessert which instantaneously brings back childhood memories of the holidays. The whiskey custard which complements the pudding adds an grown-up touch to this childhood favourite.

The aforementioned special items can be enjoyed on 24 and 25 December, with an HK$450 spending minimum.

COMFORT’s a-la-carte menu will be available during the introduction of these festive dishes. As Christmas is a season which brings friends and family together at the dining table, Harlan G offers a variety of dishes that are made for sharing with loved ones. Artisan pizzas like the Serrano Ham, Manchego Cheese, and Tomato Pesto (HK$98) and Italian Porchetta Taleggio & Mustard Salsa Verde (HK$118) are fit for both adults and children; whilst Grilled U.S. Rib-Eye on Bone 1kg (HK$1,180) are great for guests who would like to enjoy this festive season with a perfect Italian red wine. Of course, COMFORT best sellers such as the aptly named Best Ribs in LKFSlow Cooked Spanish Duroc Pork Ribs (HK$348) and Free Range Roasted Australian Yellow Chicken 1kg (HK$398) can also be ordered.

unnamed (6)New globally inspired items just introduced to COMFORT’s menu can also be enjoyed, from “Crazy Tacos” featuring Mexican pulled pork (HK$118), to “Texas Crab Cakes” (HK$118) which celebrates American flavours.

Signature desserts are also created to reflect COMFORT’s home-style, with goodies such as “Old School” Apple Crumble (HK$78), Baked Apricot Tart with Caramel Ice-Cream and Toffee Sauce (HK$68), and Warm Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice-Cream and Raspberry Sauce (HK$68).

unnamed (7)From 22 to 24 December, COMFORT also presents a festive lunch menu for office, friends and family weekday celebrations ahead of Christmas, priced HK$350. Celebratory brunches with Harlan G’s signature dishes are additionally served on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, priced at HK$400.

The a-la-carte menu can also be enjoyed with friends and families on 31 December, with an HK$450 spending minimum.

A wide selection of drinks from American craft beers, Swedish Rekorderling Premium Ciders, new world wines, and cocktails created by Harlan G complement the globally conscious food menu.
