The performer line-up for the upcoming Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival has been confirmed, with an unparalleled list of guests set to hit the stage.

From national icons and rising stars to multicultural rythms and alternative beats, organisers have confirmed an amazing program that will entertain lovers of any music genre.

Apple & Grape Festival Entertainment Director Rosey Harslett said “we are really excited about the line-up of performers this year and have made a concerted effort to bring back the spirit of the festival with free licensed street entertainment.”TAT-banner250X250px

“We have an eclectic mix of performers, all of whom are well known in their specific genres with strong followings around the country,” she said.

“With four stages running throughout the day and night, as well as roving street performers, it should be a really positive vibe reminiscent of the 1988 festival,” Ms. Harslett said.

Some of the bands and artists include multi-instrumentalist and singer Juzzy Smith, SCAT – the band that does for Jazz what bubbles do to Soda Pop, Celtic crooner Jack O’Leary, the classical reinventions of The Dave Murray Trio, Byron Bay Blues Festival favourite Dan Hannaford and Brisbane rock sensation Mission X.

Festival President Trevor Fitness said “the Apple & Grape is famous for the festive street party that takes place every 2 years, and this year’s line up of talented artists, street performers and market stalls will remind visitors of the ‘good ol’ days’ where a party was a true party, for young and the less young.”

“With an amazing list of street performers and a multicultural array of delicious food venues, the Street Carnival provides free fun for all,” he said.

Two stages will be set up in the main street – a licensed area just outside OMara’s Hotel kicking of from 12pm, and another opposite the Central Hotel.  The Central Hotel will also have a licensed area on the footpath.

Two busking stations will be operating from Farley St. Piazza and the other corners of Marsh, Victoria and Lock Street – as well as new entertainers roaming the streets.

The Multicultural Food & Wine Fiesta will host two music and entertainment stages in Weeroona Park on both Saturday and Sunday, as well as a spectacular fireworks display on the creek on Saturday night.  Crowds will be enticed back to the street party with a belly dancing troupe and more free entertainment on the stages, and an all new laser show near the Post Office Clock Tower just after the Fireworks.

The streets will be filled with over 60 stalls plus great food from local restaurants, cafes and street vendors.
