Hawaii Tours announced today that effective immediately, they will begin accepting Bitcoins as payment for tours and activities, becoming the first and largest travel and tourism company in Hawaii to do so.

“We’re seeing Bitcoins being used more and more online as a legitimate, secure, digital currency,” said Hawaii Tours Sales Manager, George Kaka. “We’ve always tried to provide excellent service and a bit of aloha to our island guests, which is why we want to be on the front side of the Bitcoin wave. It gives our customers a private, alternative payment option that’s unique to us when they book their Hawaiian vacation.”

The travel website, HawaiiTours.com, will initially process all Bitcoin payments manually but plans are to automate this as demand increases. Anyone who already has a Bitcoin wallet will find payment extremely easy. Of course, Hawaii Tours will continue to accept all major credit cards for those who wish to pay using a more traditional method.

Travelers will be able to choose from over 300 of the most popular tours and activities offered in Hawaii like the Grand Circle Island Tour (.71 Bitcoins/$73 USD), the Big Island Volcano Tour (3.43 Bitcoins/$353 USD) or thePolynesian Cultural Center (.48 Bitcoins/$49 USD).

For a complete list of tours or to check group rates, visit Hawaii Tours online at HawaiiTours.com. To book an activity or tour using Bitcoins or for any additional information, contact George Kaka directly at george(at)hawaiitours(dot)com or phone 1-888-753-7277. Aloha!
