Hawaiian Airlines and the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club are pleased to announce the formation of an exciting new long-term partnership. Hawaiian becomes exclusive airline partner and major supporter of the historic life saving club’s competition boat crews.

DSC_0219“When the opportunity arose to partner with North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club it seemed like a perfect match,” said Hawaiian Airlines’ Head of Sales and Marketing Australia, Andrew Denman.

“Both organisations have very long histories related to beach and surf culture and both have the agility to innovate and keep reinventing themselves,” he said.

“As an airline that is extremely proud of its island and ocean heritage, we are honoured to also be associated with an iconic Australian beach frequented by so many international visitors.”

DSC_0306North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club President, Grant McMah, said the airline’s support for the club’s competition boat crews was a great fit as Hawaiian Airline’s name is synonymous with sun and surf.

“Hawaiian Airlines is now in its 84th year of continuous service and our club was formed in 1906. In fact, our connection goes back to late 1914 and early 1915 when the legendary Hawaiian, Duke Kahanamoku, introduced modern surfing to Australia,” Mr McMah said.

Under the agreement, Hawaiian Airlines branding will feature prominently on the bows of the club’s fleet of five competition surfboats. The clubs’ boat crew competition “rashies” and swimsuits will also feature Hawaiian Airlines branding.

Hawaiian Airlines now flies daily from Sydney to Honolulu and three times weekly from Brisbane to Honolulu.

All Hawaiian Airlines fares from Australia include a generous 64 kilo baggage allowance per person (two free bags weighing up to 32 kg each), complimentary meals, wine and beer, and onboard service delivered with genuine Hawaiian hospitality.
