Hawaiian Airlines’ Fourth Non-Stop Brisbane-Honolulu Flight Launches Today

April 1, 2014 Aviation No Comments Email Email

Following strong demand from both U.S. and Aussie travellers, Hawaiian Airlines today launches its fourth non-stop flight between Brisbane and Honolulu.

Hawaii’s largest and longest serving airline previously offered thrice-weekly non-stop flights since launching its Brisbane-Honolulu service in November 2012.

The additional flight will add more than 20,000 seats to the Australia-Honolulu travel markets in 2014.

The inaugural flight will depart Honolulu at 6.35 p.m. local time, Monday 31 March 2014, arriving in Brisbane at 7.45am tomorrow morning before operating outbound from Brisbane at 9.50am on Tuesday, 1 April 2014.

Following the introduction of this new fourth weekly flight Hawaiian Airlines will also adjust the scheduled days of operation for the Honolulu (HNL) – Brisbane (BNE) route, beginning Apr. 14, 2014:

Hawaiian Airlines launched non-stop services to Brisbane in November 2012 and at the time projected an approximate 41,000 seats would be added to both travel markets from the route. Thanks to popular demand, Hawaiian Airlines exceeded that expectation, transporting more than 65,000 passengers between Brisbane and Honolulu in the first year.

Hawaiian Airlines is the only U.S. carrier that flies to Brisbane, which also serves as a key hub for onward travel throughout Australia. Its flight schedule to Brisbane allows travelers to connect with same-day flights throughout Queensland and to other states through a partner airline carrier. Hawaiian Airlines now offers non-stop daily services from Sydney to Honolulu and four times weekly from Brisbane to Honolulu.

The route is operated by Hawaiian Airlines’ wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, seating 264 passengers in a two-class cabin, with 18 in Business Class and 246 in the Main Cabin. All Hawaiian Airlines fares from Australia include a generous 64 kilo baggage allowance per person (two free bags weighing up to 32 kg each), complimentary meals, wine and beer, and on-board service delivered with genuine Hawaiian hospitality.
