Hawaiian Airlines Now Selling Extra Comfort Premium Economy Seating

HA_ExtraComfort_CoupleHawaiian Airlines today announced that its new Extra Comfort premium economy seats, available on North American and international routes operated by its A330 fleet, are now available for purchase when booking tickets online at for travel on or after Aug. 1, 2014.

The new class of seats offers travelers more legroom and a bundle of other amenities at a nominal cost to enrich the Hawai‘i travel experience.

“We are excited to give our guests more seating options to enhance their inflight experience with the product offerings they value most,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “Every customer flying with us will continue to enjoy our award-winning service and Hawaiian hospitality.”

The purchase of Extra Comfort, available in Rows 11-14 and 33-34, includes five more inches of legroom (36 inches of seat pitch); priority boarding at the gate; complimentary on-demand in-seat entertainment; and a personal electrical power outlet* to make the journey even more enjoyable. On international routes, a souvenir pillow and blanket set are also provided.

One-way pricing of Extra Comfort will vary according to the North American or international flight route:

As part of the airline’s long-haul seating re-configuration of its A330 fleet, Hawaiian Airlines also unveiled a refreshed interior cabin design. Travelers are taken on a journey through Earth (First Class), Ocean (Extra Comfort), and Sky (Main Cabin), connected with storytelling of the essential elements of the Hawaiian Islands through the materials, colors and patterns selected.
Hawaiian Airlines’ wide-body, twin-aisle Airbus 330-200 aircraft seats 294 passengers, with 18 in First Class, 40 in Extra Comfort and 236 in the Main Cabin. Hawaiian Airlines’ A330 amenities include personal on-demand entertainment system for each seat, comfortable legroom, and a roomy interior. Adding to the enjoyment of the travel experience is the carrier’s signature onboard hospitality program, Mea Ho‘okipa (translation: I am host). Travelers enjoy island-style complimentary meals and made-in-Hawai‘i snacks to go along with Hawaiian Airlines’ engaging presentation of the islands’ culture, people and Aloha Spirit throughout the flight.

*Electrical power outlets are being installed in phases and by rows and may not be available on all Extra Comfort seats by August 2014.

**New non-stop service to Beijing commences on April 16, 2014, subject to government approval.
