Hawaiian Airlines signs code-share agreement with China Airlines

egtmedia59Hawaiian Airlines, which launched nonstop service between Honolulu and Taipei on Tuesday, said Thursday that it has signed a code-share agreement with Taiwan’s China Airlines.

The agreement will allow Hawaiian to place its two-letter booking code on China Airlines flights , and allow for passengers traveling between Hawaii and multiple China Airlines destinations in Asia to fly on a single ticket. China Airlines will be able to place its two-letter code on Hawaiian flights leaving Taipei as well as flights to Mainland cities and interisland flights.

“With this new partnership, our customers will be able to have convenient access to a host of new cities

throughout Asia with connections through our new Taipei route,” Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO Mark Dunkerley said in a statement. “We are very excited about our new partnership with China Airlines and look forward to sharing our island hospitality with its customers from cities we do not serve directly today.”

The two airlines have also completed an interline agreement that allows travel to other destinations in Asia such as Okinawa, Manila in the Philippines, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Jakarta, Indonesia, Hawaiian said in a statement.
