Hawkr Extends Healthy ‘Grab-And-Go’ Southeast Asian Street Food to Pacific Place

Hong Kong’s hottest new Southeast Asian ‘grab-and-go’ HAWKR has expanded to Pacific Place – just three months after the runaway success of its launch in Quarry Bay.

Inspired by some of the finest Southeast Asian fare from the most popular food destinations such as Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia using fresh, healthy ingredients, HAWKR has proven itself to be a winner among busy professionals at Taikoo Place, and has now extended to premium lifestyle hub, Pacific Place.

To celebrate the opening, an expanded menu of new exciting items are now available, including a refreshing salad trio Burmese Tea Leaf Salad (HK$28), Isaan Beef Salad (HK$66), and Song Que Salmon Salad (HK$60), and enticing hot noodles pots Mamak Mee (HK$32) and Roasted Pork Noodle Tossed with Coriander Pesto (HK$28), together with scrumptious Tea Leaf Eggs (HK$18), all styled by pop-up dining and private kitchen legend Mina Park – who partners the venture with lifestyle concept Pun+Projects founder Ivan Pun and consumer private equity and F&B specialist Jake Astor.

With breakfast being such a crucial meal, newly introduced breakfast options include Vietnamese Ham Sandwich and Lemongrass Egg Mayo Sandwich, priced at HK$16 each, available from 7:30 am till 11:00 am daily, along with light, healthy superfood Sabja and Chia Seed Puddings, fresh fruit, yoghurts and pastries.

Freshly made salads with house-recipe dressings have been a great hit, and will continue to delight office workers – headlined by HAWKR’s signature Vietnamese Chicken Salad (HK$52) and Prawn Pomelo Salad (HK$28), with a choice of small or large portions available for selective salads.

Popular signature wraps such as the Prawn Popiah Wrap (HK$44) will be available along with brand new alluring wraps such as Siamese Salmon Fishcake Wrap (HK$44) and the special Mina’s Meatball Wrap (HK$42), with a choice of half portions available for selective wraps.

Hot food options highlight the signature Javanese Beef Rendang (HK$68), Thai Chicken Green Curry (HK$66) and Thai-style Chicken and Lemongrass Soup (HK$35), all made using hand-blended spices from HAWKR’s very own formulas.

Exotic street-style desserts include Tropical Fruit Salad (HK$22), Coconut Panna Cotta (HK$22) and Thailand’s beloved sweet coconut-pandan delicacy Khanom Chan (HK$18).

A wide selection of soups and congees like Thai Pork Meatball Congee (price to be confirmed) also change daily, along with a menu of thirst-quenching fresh fruit juices and exotic drinks likeCarrot, Ginger and Apple (HK$26) and Guava, Apple and Coconut (HK$26).

HAWKR is also standing out from the ‘grab-and-go’ crowd with its own bespoke coffee blend, devised by their resident barista from highest quality beans, freshly roasted by local artisan roaster, Happy Bean Roastery. They also offer house HAWKR signature drinks Thai Milk Tea (HK$18), Vietnamese Iced Coffee (HK$18) and a range of Iced-Teas (HK$16). HAWKR are excited to be introducing Hong Kong’s first Pandan Latte (HK$28).

HAWKR not only creates dishes that give a taste of true Southeast Asian flavours, but also pledges to keep its food free from all MSG, artificial flavours or preservatives. “We only use ingredients that are genuine and natural that would feel comfortable eating ourselves,” said Co-founder Mina Park.

“Quality food-on-the-move” is a growing trend for millennials nowadays and our reinvention of the concept bringing an authentic, yet innovative and nutritious takeaway experience is proving a runaway success,” added HAWKR CEO and Founder Jake Astor.

Like its Quarry Bay flagship, HAWKR at Pacific Place Three continues a design theme of eye-catching neon green signage against a rattan background, underlining its Hong Kong roots and connection to Southeast Asia’s iconic furniture.  A colourful wall pattern inspired by the vibrant ikats of Thailand and Burma is a key motif, and staff aprons are hand-dyed in indigo of the Isaan region of Thailand.

Underlining its contemporary image, HAWKR strives to source locally where appropriate, working towards greater environmental sustainability and a positive social impact to be a force for good in the Hong Kong community.

Great efforts are put into minimising food waste; all menu items 50% off after 7 pm every day, with also plans to work with local charities to ensure that any leftover food goes to those in need. Catering menus are also available for corporate events, luncheons and parties.

HAWKR Pacific Place opens daily, Monday to Friday from 7.30am am to 7.30 pmSaturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and is located at Shop 6, Level B3, Three Pacific Place, 1 Queen’s Road East, Hong Kong.
