553478_num1145554_600x600Surrounded by idyllic scenery, calming ocean sounds and an ambience that symbolizes relaxation, Halcyon House is delighted to announce the dates for its inaugural wellness event. From Wednesday 29 June to Friday 1 July 2016, respected Yoga Guru, Kate Kendall from Flow Athletic in Sydney will cast a mood of peace, serenity and wellness over the 21-room luxury boutique hotel.

The three-day retreat will primarily focus on progressive yoga with four classes scheduled but in addition, some water-based activities such as stand-up paddle boarding and surf lessons will also be available for those wanting to fully embrace the ocean and sea air.

“My approach to yoga is light hearted and fun and I always aim to inspire the notion that yoga is less about how ‘well’ you do a posture and more about how connected you are while you’re doing it. Connection is everything; it promotes better relationships (with self and others), improved focus and clarity and keeps you in line with all your desired feelings, goals and visions.

Halcyon House is a dream place to practice yoga. The people, the ocean, sun and the beautiful, calm surroundings make it ideal for slowing-down, drinking in the moment and really making the most out of the practice. I love it” said Kate Kendall, Co-Founder and Director of Yoga at Flow Athletic.

The experiences won’t just be exercise related, as guests will also be treated to specially prepared health inspired menus, created by Paper Daisy’s award-winning Chef Ben Devlin.

Halcyon House General Manager, Mauro De Riso, said, “it’s no secret that experiential travel is being sought out by discerning travellers and concurrently people are looking to maintain their health disciplines whilst away. We feel a wellness retreat with a respected expert such as Kate offers the perfect guilt-free getaway for our guests and we’re looking forward to this being the first of many.”

The package includes two nights at Halcyon House, daily a la carte breakfast at Paper Daisy, two Paper Daisy dinners, a picnic lunch, four yoga sessions with Kate Kendall and the opportunity to add on stand-up paddle board and surf lessons.  Packages start from $1640 per room.
