Heiko Roeder, Food and Beverage Director of Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, was awarded Food & Beverage Hotelier of The Year at The Hotelier Awards China held on December 10, 2015 at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing.
The ceremony was attended by more 300 hoteliers and hospitality professionals to honour the dedicated professionals of the hotel industry.
The winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process by a panel of experts. In receiving the award, Roeder remarked, “Thanks to all our 400 food and beverage employees who supported me day in and day out – this award goes to all of them who have made this happen. In this industry, it is all about team work and spirit.”
With a career that has spanned from Shanghai to Beijing and now Guangzhou, Heiko, a German native, has experienced China’s major city first-hand. He joined Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou in 2012 during the Hotel’s pre-opening. With his extensive food and beverage experience and in-depth knowledge of the China market, Heiko was instrumental in the early conceptualisation and subsequent success of the Hotel’s food and beverage operation with its four restaurants, two bars and comprehensive function facilities.
The 2015 Hotelier Awards received close to 300 applications from more than 100 properties from 44 different brands. Winners of each category were decided by a panel of independent experts through a two-round process and based on a combination of facts presented in the application, interviews, and testimonials.
