The 2016 Helloworld Owner Managers Conference (OMC) wrapped up in Singapore on Saturday night with owner managers leaving the conference as shareholders in what is a unified and strengthened Helloworld business.

Over 500 Owner Managers came together with preferred supplier partners and senior staff for the successful three day conference. Celebrating the theme ‘We are all in this together’, this message was reinforced in a welcome video message featuring Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Jetstar CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, APT Managing Director Chris Hall, Emirates Divisional Vice President Barry Brown, Accor Hotels Chief Operating Officer Simon McGrath and The Travel Corporation CEO John Veitch together with a number of Helloworld franchisees from the branded and associate networks.

The theme was mirrored by the presenters, keynote speakers and suppliers throughout the conference and reinforced by the announcement that franchisees in the branded, associate and Helloworld for Business networks would be invited to become shareholders in Helloworld Limited by way of a loyalty bonus, further demonstrating the unity and togetherness of the business going forward.

“From the CEO to the shareholders, our network owners, our staff and our suppliers we have a common and unified goal to grow the business. We really are ‘in this together’ and our success is best assured for our shareholders, network members and supplier partners by aligning our interests and sharing the benefits of that success equitably” said Helloworld CEO and Managing Director Andrew Burnes.

Mr Burnes delivered a motivational, transparent and commercially focused introductory presentation to the conference, making headline news announcements including a Franchise Network Co-investment Strategy, Helloworld Limited’s acquisition of 50% in MTA and the news that franchisee members will become shareholders with approximately $3.5 million worth of shares being allocated to members as a loyalty bonus.

“We play the long game” said Mr Burnes in his closing remarks. “The things we are doing now, the things we are evolving and working on to deliver to you, our Owner Managers, are constantly being worked on and we are making the things we do for you better. And I promise you they will continue to significantly improve as we move forward” he added.
