Helloworld Travel appoints new Group General Manager – Retail and Commercial

Helloworld Travel Limited today announced that John Constable, former Global head of STA, has been appointed as the new Group General Manager – Retail and Commercial.

Mr. Constable, who has also held senior positions with Tui and other major UK travel retail and wholesale businesses will take up the position, based in Melbourne, on 12th February 2018. Julie Primmer, Head of Branded Network, David Padman, Head of Corporate, Associate and Affiliate Networks, Mike Thompson, Group General Manager Partnerships and Stan Scott, Head of Commercial, will report into Mr. Constable.

“I am delighted that John has agreed to join Helloworld Travel Limited” said Helloworld Travel CEO Andrew Burnes. “John brings with him a wealth of experience in the wholesale and retail global travel distribution business and I am confident he will have a very positive impact on our retail businesses, including our commercial operations”.

This appointment now establishes the four pillars of Helloworld Travel’s operational management team, with Mr. Constable heading up the Retail and Commercial divisions in Australia, Cinzia Burnes heading up the Wholesale and Inbound divisions, Russell Carstensen heading up the Corporate and Air Tickets businesses and Simon McKearney heading up Helloworld’s extensive operations in New Zealand.

Mr. Constable will report to Helloworld Travel CEO Andrew Burnes.
