helloworld is tapping into Australians’ growing reliance on social media, and its agents are throwing their support behind one of the fastest growing social media platform, Instagram, as part of the #helloworldRELAY initiative that will take place this Sunday September 27.
A key part of #helloworldRELAY involves 75 selected helloworld agents crafting itineraries for profiled destinations. These itineraries will then be promoted across the global first with helloworld agents able to book and promote the itineraries in store.
Kim Portrate, helloworld Chief Marketing Officer said agents had moved quickly to support the initiative.
“To see that agents are getting on board and are excited about this initiative is very encouraging.” Kim said. “Images which are snapped via Instagram with the hashtag #helloworldRELAY are tagged with itineraries from expert agents around Australia. Creating the ultimate itinerary for each destination with product that translates to bookings for our agents is critical during this year’s Early Bird sales period.”
“In addition to growing brand awareness and engaging with online communities, #helloworldRELAY is also designed to reinforce the fact that our agents are ‘Experts in Everywhere’ and are able to find the best possible travel solution, no matter where in the world you want to go,” she added.
Tiffany Rudd, Travel Advisor at helloworld Eastgardens said that the #helloworldRELAY is an exciting and innovative concept which they are thrilled to be a part of.
“This is a great opportunity to reach out to a new generation of travellers. How we share our travel experiences has changed from sending a postcard home and developing our photos to now being able to be amongst our destinations and immediately share the excitement of that experience.”
“It is important for our clients to know helloworld Eastgardens has the tools, experience, technology and vision to help deliver their dream destination,” Tiffany added.
Jennifer Gibbons, Consultant, helloworld Bunbury agrees. “The #helloworldRELAY provides us with a chance to promote our amazing office and social media pages to our local community. It allows us to endorse interesting destinations that may not immediately spring to mind when clients are considering their travel options. It shows everyone that helloworld is keeping up with social media trends.”
“As instagrammers ourselves we are very excited to be able to follow the action. So many wonderful places around the world will be showcased – our bucket lists will be getting longer for sure!” said Maryanne Spring, Consultant, helloworldBunbury.
Social media activity will spike on 27 September during World Tourism Day as people around the world post their travel images to Instagram, Twitter and microsite relay.helloworld.com.au. In just 36 hours, starting in Samoa, the #helloworldRELAY will travel around the world to a total of 75 locations. Each location will host an Instagram meet up (insta-meet) as part of the #helloworldRELAY for two hours, widening the reach to other social media enthusiasts and travellers at each location.
Track the relay by following @helloworldAU on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter or go online at relay.helloworld.com.au or simply search #helloworldRELAY.
