Helloworld Travel’s wholly owned QBT Limited has been appointed sole provider of travel management services to up to 43 South Australian Government agencies for a minimum term of three years.

Taking effect 1 February 2019, the arrangements include end-to-end travel management services, access to QBT’s online booking portal, business intelligence reporting, offline booking services and 24/7 in-house support for all travellers.

Announcing the development on Friday, Helloworld Travel Limited said South Australian Government agencies would start transitioning from their existing arrangements to QBT over the coming two months.

QBT currently provides travel management services to the Australian Commonwealth Government, the ACT Government and the Northern Territory Government. An issued statement said the company was looking forward to “welcoming the South Australian Government into the important QBT Government portfolio”.

Helloworld Travel Limited chief executive and managing director Andrew Burnes said the company was “delighted to add the South Australian Government to the expanding number of significant clients within our QBT business.

“Our service offerings, provided by the outstanding teams we have across Australia including Adelaide combined with our technology suite provide excellent outcomes for our customers. Put that together with our client transparency and the commercial offerings that come from being part of the broader AUD 6+ billion Helloworld Travel business and we are seeing increasing demand for our TMC offerings in both Australia and in New Zealand.”

QBT group general manager, Nick Sutherland said, “The South Australian Government tender was a rigorous and professional process which allowed QBT to demonstrate our service expertise and the advanced digital and personal service we offer our customers.”
