Hertz, the world’s largest general use car rental brand,  has launched its Outback Collection in Australia,  ideal for intrepid travellers wishing to explore the country in a unique and unforgettable way.

Hertz_Outback CollectionAvailable to rent from Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Alice Springs and Cairns, the new Collection comprises Toyota LandCruiser Workmate camping and standard editions. All Outback Collection vehicles come with Hertz Make and Model Guarantee ensuring customers drive away in the exact car they booked.

The Toyota LandCruiser Workmate camping edition includes a tent, bedding that comfortably sleeps four people, a gas stove, utensils and cutlery. It is ideal for those looking for the ultimate in freedom and flexibility, with the ability to set up camp wherever they find a suitable spot during their journey*. Travellers can also choose the Toyota LandCruiser Workmate standard edition if they have their own camping gear or wish to explore the outback during the day.

“The new Hertz Outback Collection offers local and international road trippers the opportunity to experience the Australian terrain at its best. Renters can admire the outback in areas that most standard cars can’t reach, and set up camp when they are ready to rest for the night,” said Chris Rusden, Vice President, Hertz Australia and New Zealand. “The features and equipment of the Outback Collection enable travellers to explore the wilderness at their own pace, and enjoy an exciting yet unique Australian experience.”

Having earned an enviable reputation for its versatility, ruggedness and dependability, the Toyota LandCruiser Workmate can handle challenging off-road four wheel drive adventures with ease during the dry season, 1 May to 31 December. When renting the Outback Collection during the wet season, 1 January to 30 April, drivers need to stay on major roads but have the chance to experience Australian nature at its most extreme.

The Outback Collection joins Hertz Australia’s fleet of specialty cars including the Prestige Collection, which includes an exclusive range of luxury BMW vehicles; the Fun Collection which features Britain’s iconic and exciting Mini Minor; the Green Collection with the fuel efficient Toyota Prius Hybrid; plus the Adrenaline Collection featuring the Toyota 86. The specialty collections add an extra dimension to Hertz’s fleet of well-maintained vehicles encompassing economy, intermediate and full-size models, as well as SUVs and commercial vehicles.
