Hertz Australia has been named the ‘Best Car/Campervan Rental Operator’ at the Australian Federation of Travel Agent’s (AFTA) annual awards ceremony, the 2013 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA).  The NTIA are voted by AFTA’s membership base and recognise overall excellence in the travel industry.

“We’re thrilled to win this prestigious award,” said Chris Rusden, Vice President, Hertz Australia and New Zealand. “This is the sixth time Hertz has received this accolade during the past seven years, and we have a great team of people who work extremely hard to ensure we offer our customers the best vehicle rental experience possible.

“In particular, over the past 12 months we’ve been focusing our efforts on offering exceptional value, fantastic customer service, a diverse fleet and innovative rental options so it’s great to have this recognition from the travel industry. We value the strong partnerships we have within the industry, and thank everyone for their continued support.”

The Gala Dinner and award presentation was held at the Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park, Sydney, on Saturday 20 July and attended by more than 1200travel industry representatives.

This award follows on from Hertz New Zealand being named the ‘Best Car/Campervan Rental Operator’ at the inaugural New Zealand Travel Industry Awards in 2012.

“It’s a wonderful honour for both the Australian and New Zealand Hertz operations to be named the best car rental companies in their respective industry awards. We’ll be working incredibly hard to maintain these titles in the years to come,” added Mr Rusden.
