Hertz Partners with Tourico Holidays

Tourico Holidays, the innovation leader in wholesale travel, and Hertz, the world’s largest general use car rental company, has announced a new partnership that provides Tourico clients with access to Hertz rental cars.

The partnership is part of Tourico’s global expansion plans and solidifies its status as an all-inclusive provider for international tour operators and travel companies. This announcement comes just weeks after Tourico Holidays announced its plans to become a market leader in the vacation home and apartment rental travel markets.

45% of business travelers and 30% of holidaymakers book a rental car to get from point A to point B once they have reached their destination (Google Travel Study 2012). Through cooperation with car rental companies, Tourico Holidays is able to provide its clients with competitive pricing and a comprehensive selection of rental brands and car models. In addition to adding Hertz to its Direct Connect Program, Tourico launched a new car rental user interface on improving usability and providing more information to agents.

“The advantage for our network of 4,500 clients across 100 countries is that they have access to  Hertz’s worldwide network and the most varied fleet in the industry,” said Tourico Holidays’ CMO & EVP of Global Sales, Chris Keller. “Our partners can book last-minute and also have access to special offers available directly through Hertz. Never before has our inventory of rental cars been so lucrative for our clients, especially over the XML connectivity.”

Tourico Holiday’s full range of products, including cars, can also be accessed via, White Label Technology and XML, including 36,000 hotels, 15,000 vacation homes and apartments, and 10,000 activities and transfers, cruise and air.
