HGU New York Hotel [34 E 32nd St. between Park and Madison Avenues] has partnered with star chef and restauranteur John DeLucie to launch new food and beverage concepts across the luxury boutique hotel.

The partnership includes a phased overhaul of the hotel’s bars and restaurants including the 1905 Lounge, Rooftop, Lobby Bar, and the creation of a signature restaurant set to open fall of 2019.

“Chef John DeLucie’s culinary vision is a perfect complement to the HGU New York hotel guest experience,” said Michael Namer, CEO & Founder of Alfa Development, HGU New York’s owner. “As the NoMad neighborhood continues to transform into a top dining and hospitality destination, we are thrilled to have Chef DeLucie at the helm of our entire food & beverage operation.”
“Partnering with HGU New York is an exciting and welcomed opportunity,” said John DeLucie. “I’ll be enhancing the hotel’s existing Rooftop, lounge, and room service operations and creating a brand-new signature restaurant. I am eager to contribute to the evolution of HGU New York. “
The first phase of DeLucie’s designs for HGU New York’s food & beverage outlets is the opening of the hotel’s Rooftop bar, which will feature new warm-weather cocktails and summertime fare inspired by Montauk. Later in the summer a new lobby bar and lounge with an all-day menu will join the HGU lineup, which will serve as a local gathering spot for both hotel guests and locals. Finally, DeLucie’s full culinary vision for the property will come to fruition in fall 2019 with the opening of a new signature restaurant designed to become a top dining destination in the NoMad neighborhood.
