Hilton Atlanta, part of Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio of more than 570 properties around the world, today announced the beginning of its extensive transformation that will consist of enhancements to public areas, guestrooms, suites and meeting spaces.
“The reconfiguration of both the Galleria level and the Grand Salon ballroom offers new opportunities to expand our group business and grow our catering presence in the downtown Atlanta market,” said Brad Koeneman, general manager, Hilton Atlanta.
Designed by Stonehill & Taylor, Hilton Atlanta will offer guests new décor and lighting concepts that aim to celebrate Atlanta’s well-rooted history and emphasize its calming “city in a forest” essence that is embraced today. The redesigned lobby will captivate guests upon arrival with a new front desk and mixed seating concept that will provide new levels of comfort and functionality in an intimate setting. The Marketplace Café will be relocated to the lobby and will continue to feature Starbucks® coffee and a daily selection of fresh grab ‘n go options. Updated guest rooms will convey a serene ambiance with nature-inspired earth tones. Larger televisions and mini-refrigerators will be provided in all guestrooms, as well as updated bedding and furniture. Bathroom resurfacing, new tiling and enhanced lighting will be added to all guest rooms and stand-up showers will be added to our Executive Level rooms. Upon completion of the second floor ballroom transformation, the space will consist of two ballrooms and 24 breakout rooms. The 38,000 square-foot Galleria Exhibit Hall will be reconfigured to include breakouts, and all meeting space will feature increased internet bandwidth to fulfill meeting planners’ demands and expectations.
Hilton Atlanta will remain open for guests during the renovation and will communicate with guests to ensure their comfort and safety throughout this process. Nikolai’s Roof and Trader Vic’s restaurants will continue to operate under normal business hours.
