Hilton Beijing Capital Airport Holds 8th World Autism Awareness Day Charity Auction Dinner

首都机场希尔顿酒店总经理马东尼致辞The 8th World Autism Awareness Day Charity Auction Dinner was held at Hilton Beijing Capital Airport. Wei Jiuming, President of CCAFC, Tian Huiping, Founder of Beijing Stars and Rain Autism Institution and Wang Dong, Director of Public Affairs of VISA China and Tony Marrinan,General Manager of Hilton Beijing Capital Airport attended the dinner with more than 200 loving people.

Every year, in response to World Autism Awareness Day, many fundraising and awareness-raising activities are held simultaneously by schools, restaurants and bars, organizations, businesses, etc. Some of these activities include lighting things blue or wearing blue clothes in recognition of this day, showing autism-related movies, etc. And for this year, more than 40 generous and loving enterprises and 30 media gathered again at Hilton Beijing Capital Airport to celebrate this big event through music and performance by autistic children and celebrities and many fundraising activities.



The charity auction dinner is the largest annual event held by Stars and Rain Autism Institution. In order to make this event more memorable, Hilton Beijing Capital Airport donates its splendid ball room, which can hold up to 920 guests at one time, for this charity event. There are more than 20 items for auction at the charity auction dinner. This includes artwork and collections from artists, movie stars, Hilton Beijing Capital Airport  and various local businesses. The General Manager of Hilton Beijing Capital Airport, Tony Marrinan,  welcomed all  the guests with his speech “I feel very proud that this meaningful event is held again at our hotel. Our hotel has built a great relationship with Stars and Rain since our opening. Our Blue Energy committee organizes different team members to visit Stars and Rain regularly, bringing love and happiness to the Autistic children. The children, and their parents, have impressed us strongly and they have made us aware of the situation of Autism in China. This is part of the practice of our corporate social responsibility, and also an important part of our brand culture. We would like to promote the contribution on the progress of social public welfare undertakings, and at the same time we also hope we could better help these autistic children in the further. “


More than RMB 360,000 in total was raised on the auction and all proceeds and donations from this event will go to Stars and Rain Education Institute for Autism to help the organization and the families of autistic children.
