Hilton today confirmed the launch of Hilton Parramatta, adding to Hilton’s portfolio of 24 operating and nine pipeline properties in Australasia. Under a management agreement with Ledrae Hotels Pty Ltd, Hilton will manage the new-build hotel, located in the heart of one of Sydney’s fastest growing regions. Construction of the 245-room hotel will commence in early 2020.

“Hilton Parramatta is the latest example of Hilton’s commitment to growing our portfolio within fast-emerging business and leisure markets,” said Heidi Kunkel, vice president, operations, Australasia, Hilton. “The introduction of this new property has created an exceptional opportunity for us to bring our renowned brand of hospitality to the greater Sydney area and further expand our portfolio in the destinations that matter most to guests.”

Located 25 km west of Sydney’s central business district, Parramatta is a major business and commercial destination and is home to many federal and state government department centres. Hilton Parramatta will offer convenience to both corporate and government travellers, as well as leisure guests looking to explore the city’s rich cultural offerings. The hotel is located in the heart of Parramatta, walking distance to Parramatta stadium, and steps away from the city’s best shopping and dining venues.

“We are privileged to be partnering with Ledrae Hotels Pty Ltd to launch Hilton Parramatta and further strengthen our current portfolio of acclaimed hotels and resorts,” said Rob Scullin, vice president, development, Australasia, Hilton. “Today’s announcement bears testament to Hilton’s strength in Australasia and we look forward to welcoming guests to the hotel with Hilton’s signature hospitality.”

Hilton Parramatta will offer 240 guest rooms and five suites as well as three state-of-the-art meeting spaces and an executive lounge. Additional offerings will include a signature restaurant, bar, fitness centre and outdoor pool.

“We are thrilled to be bringing such a well-known hotel brand such as Hilton to Parramatta,” said Dr. Lionel Chang, Director of Ledrae Hotels Pty Ltd. “We have owned the building on the corner of Macquarie Street and Marsden Street since 1994 and look forward to this exciting transformation. With Macquarie Street being the oldest and most well-known street in Parramatta, we cannot think of a better address for what will be a fantastic hotel.”
