Hilton Edinburgh Airport Appoints Stuart Cran As New General Manager

Hilton Edinburgh Airport has appointed hospitalityprofessional Stuart Cran as its new general manager.

In his new role, Cran will manage the day-to-day activities of the hotel, which will include supervision of Hilton Edinburgh Airport’s hospitality staff across all areas and divisions including food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping and 250x250pxconference and banqueting.

Stuart joins Hilton Edinburgh Airport from Hilton Dundee where he was general manager for three years. He joined Hilton Worldwide from Travelodge, where he was district manager for the north of Scotland and was responsible for 13 hotels. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector, he has gained a strong reputation for establishing excellent service standards having worked with some of the country’s most recognisable brands.

Stewart Lorimer, area general manager for North Scotland, Hilton Worldwide, said, “We are delighted to welcome Stuart to Hilton Edinburgh Airport. I am confident that he will continue to enhance the Hilton brand’s position of excellence in Edinburgh.

“It is an exciting time for Hilton Worldwide in Edinburgh, with DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre due for completion this summer, adding to a strong presence in the capital with three hotels across two brands with the refurbished Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria hotel and  Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor.”

Hilton Edinburgh Airport is conveniently located within walking distance of Edinburgh Airport and is only 20 minutes from the historic city centre, including popular attractions such as Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street.

Hilton Edinburgh Airport hotel has 22 versatile meeting rooms accommodating 200-300 people, a business center and WiFi internet access in the lounge area. Guests can stay active in the hotel by swimming in the heated indoor pool and enjoy a workout in the fully equipped fitness center or unwind in the steam room and sauna.
