Since 2015, the Hilton in Myanmar has been leading a “Blood Drive” throughout the country. On 4th and 5th February, employees from Hilton Mandalay and Hilton Nay Pyi Taw contributed by donating a total of 62 units of blood to Mandalay’s Central Women Hospital and Nay Pyi Taw 100-bed Hospital.

“We wanted to do a meaningful contribution to our community. Donating blood saves lives. That’s why we are very proud of being part of the Hilton’s “Blood Drive” activity. We’re very grateful to our staff who gave their vital blood to save countless lives in Myanmar”, said Veronique Sirault, Cluster General Manger of Hilton in Myanmar.

As a member of the Ngapali Golden Beach Blood Donation Association, Hilton Ngapali has been donating blood since 2015. In cases of emergency, the hospital calls for the Hilton Ngapali team members to donate blood.

In Myanmar, the annual demand for blood is increasing and in many cases, blood transfusions can be critical to save lives across the country. They can be used in a variety of medical procedures – from emergency care to cancer treatment. Since 2015, the Hilton in Myanmar have donated a total of 321 units of blood.

Hilton currently operates three hotels in Myanmar: Hilton Nay Pyi Taw, Hilton Mandalay and Hilton Ngapali Resort & Spa. In addition to Hilton Times City Yangon, the company has two hotels in the development pipeline which will open in Inle Lake and Bagan over the coming years.
