Hilton London Wembley Appoints New General Manager

Hilton London Wembley welcomes Bernadette Gilligan as general manager, following the retirement of her predecessor, Jack Nicholas. Gilligan brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role with 31 years of hospitality experience.

Prior to joining Hilton London Wembley, Gilligan was general manager at Hilton London Kensington and has more than 20 years’ of experience working within Hilton Worldwide. She has spent the past 10 years working as general manager across a number of UK Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties including Hilton Manchester Deansgate and Hilton York. Gilligan started her career at Holiday Inn before joining Hilton in 1990.

Gilligan said, “I’m thrilled to be appointed general manager of Hilton London Wembley, in one of London’s most iconic and quintessentially British locations.”

Jack Nicholas, previous general manager at Hilton London Wembley, has retired after 40 years of service in the hospitality industry, with the last 11 years spent at Hilton Worldwide. Nicholas played an integral role in the creation of Hilton London Wembley and championed the development of a new upscale, full service hotel for 10 years prior to the hotel opening in advance of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Situated directly opposite Wembley Stadium and next to Wembley Arena, the 361-room Hilton London Wembley offers an impressive backdrop for any occasion. The extensive meetings and events facilities comprise of 10 state-of-the-art meeting rooms with business centre and boardroom, 660-capacity ballroom, and a ninth floor roof bar with outdoor terrace, Sky Bar 9, available exclusively for private hire.
