Hilton Melbourne South Wharf Opens New Meetings and Event Space

Hilton Melbourne South Wharf is pleased to announce the opening ofnew meetings and events spaces: the Woodside function rooms with Outdoor terrace and boardrooms. The openingfollows a five month multi-million dollar renovation of the hotel’s ground floor that now offers 450m² of event space.

The Woodside rooms and terrace offer a seamless indoor/outdoor space that can be configured into four intimate roomsor opened into an expansive space of over 400m². The rooms naturally open out on to a heated undercover terrace providing a unique outdoor setting that can be utilised as a stunning breakout space or function venue in its own right. A private pre-function area offers views into the semi-open kitchen and zoned break-out areas.

As one space, Woodside ballroom and terrace can host up to 300 guests for a cocktail event, 140 guests for a sit-down dinner and 220 guests for a theatre style event. Individually, the rooms can be setup in boardroom, classroom,theatre or u-shape styles.

Designed in keeping with Hilton Melbourne South Wharf’s dramatic and stylish interiors, the event spaces use warmtimbers and bold metal features to reflect the tall ship and wharfing industry the hotel’s location was originally hometo. The Woodside rooms also make the most of the hotel’s spectacular riverside location with floor to ceiling windowsoffering an abundance of natural light and city skyline views.

One Day Delegate Packages start at $99 per person and include morning tea, a stand-up working luncheon served fromthe space’s open kitchen, afternoon tea and wireless internet. Half Day Delegate Packages start at $85 per person andinclude either morning or afternoon tea, a stand-up working luncheon served from the space’s open kitchen, afternoon tea and wireless internet.

The packages can also be tailored to include a sit-down lunch, a cooked to order pizza station and a healthy juiceand smoothie bar. All of the menus can be adjusted to suit dietary requirements and are created in-house by HiltonMelbourne South Wharf’s team of professional and creative chefs. Menus reflect the chef’s philosophy to use fresh,seasonal ingredients and prepare them simply ensuring maximum quality and flavour.

Hilton Melbourne South Wharf is enviably positioned at the edge of Melbourne’s CBD on the banks of the Yarra River.The hotel is an easy walk across the river to the Docklands precinct, Southern Cross Station and business end of the city.
