DSC_0578The Vines Resort and Country Club, in the Swan Valley has signed a reciprocal agreement with Goldfields Golf Club, Kalgoorlie WA  – being chosen from all Perth clubs, to partner with each other, in a deal that has taken over nine months to bed down.

Many other golf clubs from Perth had expressed an interest in being aligned with the prestigious Kalgoorlie Club, however Graeme Wilmot the Finance Director from the Goldfields Golf Club and John Messenger the Golf Club Manager (The Vines) negotiated the perpetual deal, that will benefit members of both clubs well into the future.

For golfing visitors from Kalgoorlie, the benefits are especially highlighted, as The Vines Resort has two Graeme Marsh designed courses (The Lakes & Ellenbrook), the same as their home town course. photo

It is a well known fact that golfers like to play other courses when travelling, and challenge their game on a new course, with the element of surprise of hazards and unknown bunkers making for an exciting game.

The Novotel Vines Resort offers a selection of accommodation options, from Resort Rooms to King Suites or apartments, and all 103 hotel rooms and 54 apartments are located in amongst ancient vine or beside the greens, and surrounding the Club House.

Goldfield’s Club Members receive the same discounts, 15% off the rate of the day for accommodation, 10% off food in all outlets and 20% off beverages in all outlets.

“Muscats Restaurant” offers guests a multitude of dining options for breakfast lunch and dinner, with the adjoining bar a cool retreat in summer or a cozy fireside lounge in the winter months.

The Vines Cafe, also offers al fresco terrace dining, or casual meals and coffees, plus snacks and fine wines or beers for a celebratory drink.

The Vines members also benefit with the opportunity to visit the historic mining town east of Perth, and they can discover some of the history of WA, but can now also take their clubs, spend an extra few days playing the much acclaimed course in Kalgoorlie which was also designed by Graeme Marsh.

Graeme Marsh who designed both these courses said, “I am delighted that these two courses have come to an agreement that is of such great benefit for their Membership of both these prestigious Clubs.”
