HKTB presents Hong Kong Summer Fun and new cultural tours

From June 27 to August 31 visitors will be treated to enticing shopping and dining offers during Hong Kong’s annualSummer Fun festival.  Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the event will offer a sizzling program of fun-filled activities at key attractions, summer sales at outlets across the city and colourful events and festivals.

To get visitors in the mood for summer fun the season of events and festivals kicks off with the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races from June 6 – 8, when the world’s top dragon boat athletes will compete in the three-day event on Victoria Harbour.

The festivities continue with the International Arts Carnival from July 11 – August 17.  This fun-filled, family friendly event showcases the performing arts. All performances are suitable for family audiences and include a large variety of the performing arts from music, dance and drama to puppetry, acrobatics and physical comedy.

July will also play host to the Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest (19 – 20), when participating restaurants and bars will showcase their food and beverage offerings and the party atmosphere will be enhanced by live music, games, competitions and fabulous performances over the weekend in Hong Kong’s hottest nightlife district.

HKTB Presents New Cultural Tours

The HTKB is delighted to announce two new tours which showcase Hong Kong’s traditional culture to give visitors an insight into some of the city’s hidden gems.

Hand Made in Hong Kong

This exclusive tour gives a glimpse into the long-cherished traditions of the city’s age-old handicrafts and includes a hands-on history lesson in the workshops of Hong Kong’s master craftspeople – from shoemakers to sign makers and tailors. The tour also focuses on the city’s traditional flavours with a Hong Kong-style breakfast and lunch. “Wing Chun” Kung Fu Experience Tour

This tour gives visitors the opportunity to study the basic forms of Wing Chun, a set of techniques taken and adapted by the kung fu legend and international movie star Bruce Lee.
