Holiday Inn® Singapore Atrium has announced its official re-launch after completing an extensive multi-million dollar refurbishment to revamp its lobby, guest rooms, dining concepts and meetings facilities.
This is the first major facelift to the 512-room hotel which was rebranded in 2005 as the second Holiday Inn® in Singapore. It is also the most extensive project of its kind in the building’s 30-year history.
“We are really excited to officially unveil the newly transformed Holiday Inn® Singapore Atrium in the same year as we celebrate the hotel’s 10th anniversary and the SG50 milestone. The refurbishment is timely in supporting Singapore’s Tourism 2015 roadmap with 17 million* visitor arrivals expected this year. As part of InterContinental Hotels Group, our aim is to create great hotels guests love, and it is of the utmost priority for our team to offer all our guests an exceptional stay with us – be it for leisure or business,” said Mr. Tuncay Bockin, newly-appointed General Manager, Holiday Inn®Singapore Atrium.
Designed by Eco-id Architects, the first of two phases of the renovation unveiled a brand new look in the hotel lobby and guest rooms. The modern interiors creatively incorporate design elements inspired by the iconic Singapore River and the colourful rows of shophouses along its historic riverbanks.
Located in the heart of Singapore, Holiday Inn® Singapore Atrium remains one of the city’s top destinations for business travellers. In the second phase of refurbishment, the hotel’s main Atrium Ballroom and 12 other distinctive meeting and conference rooms have also been upgraded and fitted with advanced equipment and facilities to cater for any event from cocktail receptions to conferences and weddings.
“We have a dedicated team of event specialists who assist to plan and transform our meeting spaces to suit the range of needs of our business travellers. It is also not unusual for guests travelling on business to extend their stay in Singapore and explore the city, with the hotel conveniently located close to popular attractions such as Orchard Road, Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Off the main tourist track, a short walk from the hotel is Tiong Bahru, a unique enclave with charming cafes and local hidden gems,” added Mr. Bockin.
The hotel’s new all-day dining venue, Atrium Restaurant, has also been remodelled to complement the shop house charm with a bright and cheery interior along with new international buffet and à la carte menus created by Executive Chef Chua Yew Hock.
The latest addition to the hotel’s dining scene is Atrium Bar 317, an innovative evolving bar concept overlooking the hotel’s famous lobby atrium.
