Home Valley Station in Western Australia’s spectacular East Kimberley is reopening on 3 May 2019 following its annual hiatus over the wet season. The heritage cattle station is an essential part of any Gibb River Road experience, offering genuine outback hospitality amongst the area’s breathtaking landscapes, gorges and waterfalls.

New for 2019 is an exciting menu at the popular Dusty Bar and Grill showcasing Australian produce and Bush Tucker ingredients. Alongside Kangaroo, Crocodile and native grains and spices, guests can enjoy sizzling steaks, the Dusty’s famous spare ribs, or their Barramundi catch of the day cooked expertly by the Chef. Wood-fire pizza nights, open-air movie nights and live entertainment also feature at “The Dusty”.

Located on the iconic Gibb River Road, at the foot of the majestic Cockburn Range, Home Valley Station is the ideal base from which to explore the pristine wilderness. Guests can enjoy a range of activities including sunset touring, Station 4wd tours, scenic flights and heli-fishing, fishing tours on the Pentecost River (from boat and shore) and seven picturesque self-guided walking trails.

“A visit to Home Valley Station and the authentic Dusty Bar & Grill is a must for any Gibb River Road adventure. The historic station is a quintessentially Australian outback experience offering great hospitality along one of Australia’s great scenic drives,” says Voyages CEO Grant Hunt.

While at Home Valley guests have the option to try their hand at Barramundi fishing – either onshore ($120 pp) or from a boat ($240 pp) – both tours offering a private guide, fishing equipment, transportation, snacks and water.  For the more adventurous there is also Heli fishing ($595 pp).

Other tours include scenic helicopter flights (from $195 pp), a Home Valley Station History Tour ($100 pp) and a Cockburn Ranges Sunset Tour that includes a sparkling wine, beer and a gourmet cheese platter on top of a private ridge overlooking the majestic valley ($97 pp).

A two night Kimberley Escape package* is on offer from $223 per person, twin share. The package is available for booking until 31 May 2019 and includes two nights’ accommodation in a Guesthouse Room, delicious buffet breakfast daily, access to the station’s picturesque walking trails and live entertainment at the famous Dusty Bar and Grill.
