Hong Kong Airlines is pleased to announce Daniel Yuen as the airline’s first General Manager for New Zealand.
Yuen leads the team in New Zealand, where the arrival of the airline’s inaugural flight into Auckland Airport took place today. Yuen takes his position in New Zealand, following his most recent role within the airline’s Sales & Marketing, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Hong Kong Airlines, Yuen has also worked in operational management positions in the aviation industry.
Daniel has a wealth of knowledge and experience in aviation across international markets. In his new position, Daniel will oversee all operational sales and marketing strategies for Hong Kong Airlines in New Zealand.
Mr. Li Dianchun, Chief Commercial Officer of Hong Kong Airlines said, “Daniel’s vast industry experience and strong expertise in sales and marketing will help him play an integral role in our success and build a solid presence for our airline in the New Zealand market. Daniel’s strong leadership skills and extensive business acumen will be invaluable. We are delighted to have Daniel leading the team in New Zealand.”
Yuen commented on this new role, “The opportunity to grow our revenue and further develop relationships with our industry partners will be my immediate focus. This is an extremely exciting move and also a particularly dynamic time for Hong Kong Airlines. Due to high demand, we will be operating increased services 10 times weekly, from 11th December 2016 to 13th February 2017. We are a young airline, with a new fleet. In this year alone, we have already launched 10 new routes. We are delighted to operate in the New Zealand market, particularly following the recent success on our Australian route.”
