To celebrate the launch of direct flight services between Hong Kong and Auckland, Hong Kong Airlines will be extending the scope of its student sponsorship program,
Hong Kong Airlines Embrace the World Student Sponsorship Programme 2016/17, to New Zealand by giving away 20 air tickets to students at the School of Hospitality and Tourism at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Daniel Yuen, General Manager, New Zealand at Hong Kong Airlines, said, “Hong Kong Airlines loves to help young adults achieve their dreams of flying high. So, this year, we have teamed up with Auckland University of Technology to participate in our student program, the Hong Kong Airlines Embrace the World Student Sponsorship Programme 2016/17. We are inviting the students to participate and we wish them the very best of luck. The sky is the limit!”
Hong Kong Airlines has been running the programme since 2014, providing over 1000 flight tickets each year to outstanding primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong with the opportunity to travel and see the world.
“It gives students an opportunity to encounter different cultures that they might not otherwise have the chance to see, and experience learning beyond the classroom. This year, even more students stand to benefit, as the programme has been extended to include universities and non-governmental organisations,” said Yuen.
