Hong Kong Airlines, the internationally-acclaimed full-service airline, who are represented in Australia by World Aviation Systems, will launch the Self-Bag Drop (SBD) service for passengers departing from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), providing enhanced travel convenience to its passengers.*
Six SBD machines will be installed at Hong Kong Airlines counters at Aisle K of HKIA. Ground staff of the airline will assist passengers with the new service. For the first two weeks, each passenger who uses the service will be presented with a gift as a token of gratitude for their support to the airline’s innovative initiatives.
During the trial run, the SBD service only applies to passengers with 1 checked baggage. Passengers with multiple bags will be able to enjoy the service after official launch.
There are a few steps to use SBD:
Step 1: Complete website/ mobile APP/ self-check-in with boarding pass on hand
Step 2: Proceed to the SBD counters at Aisle K, Hong Kong International Airport
Step 3: Follow the instructions from the SBD device and retrieve the bag tag
Step 4: Attach the bag tag to your bag
Step 5: Drop the bag off at our counter and collect the baggage receipt
