Hong Kong Airlines Receives Accolade at Weibo Star 2015 – Top 10 Most Influential Hong Kong Corporations
At the “Weibo Star 2015” award presentation ceremony hosted by Sina Weibo Hong Kong yesterday, Hong Kong Airlines won as “Weibo Top 10 Most Influential Hong Kong Corporation” for three consecutive years, with its ranking further improved to No. 5.
Sina Weibo Hong Kong listed the top 10 most influential corporations in Hong Kong according to their performance on Weibo with respect to account activeness, communication power and coverage in 2015. Hong Kong Airlines’ ranking further improved from the sixth in 2014 to the fifth, one step further to an influential brand on social media platforms.
Hong Kong Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Mr Li Dianchun said, “I am pleased to see that Hong Kong Airlines won again as ‘Weibo Top 10 Most Influential Hong Kong Corporation’. The company has been constantly learning about and exploring innovations in social media as well as We Media in order to keep pace with the fast-evolving Internet Plus era. Winning the award is a recognition to the company’s achievement in brand marketing in the New Media and Internet Age.”
2015 has witnessed the rapid development of Hong Kong Airlines in new media marketing. Following the Sweeten You Up service campaign in the middle of the year 2015, the airline partnered with Miao Pai, the largest Chinese video blogging platform, to launch an innovative video campaign during the Christmas season. The campaign has engaged over 5 million fans with over 4,000 comments and 52,000 new fans recorded on the airline’s Weibo official account. Recognizing the success of the campaign, Hong Kong Airlines was awarded “The Most Influential Company in New Media” at the award presentation ceremony of New Media Impact Awards 2016 held earlier this year.
2016 marks the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong Airlines. With enhanced brand strategies, Hong Kong Airlines has been in talk with more brands on cooperation opportunities, and plans to partner with We Media to launch more integrated new media marketing campaigns in the future. The company will continue to explore innovative ways to bring its customers interesting and interactive services.
