Hong Kong Taxi Ranked Best Available By Local Passengers

According to the latest annual global taxi survey from Hotels.com, Hong Kong, despite being kicked out of top 10 from 8th last year to 15th globally this year, still ranks top in four out of the seven categories by local passengers, including availability (50%), knowledge of area (41.7%), value (25%) and safety (25%) in Hong Kong people’s hearts.

According to the survey, almost every passenger would sleep in the taxi (100%), more so than its Asian counterparts, namely, Singapore (88.9%), Taiwan (79.1%), and China (75%), implying Hong Kong is maybe one of the most sleepless cities in the world.

The survey also reveals Hong Kong people’s high tendency in becoming amorous in the backseat, with 25% admitting to displaying passionate behavior – 21% higher than the global average of 4%. Near half of the respondents like to kiss their other half in the backseats (41.7%), although not as open as in Singapore (61.6%), but the percentage is still higher more than its other more conservative Asian cities like Taiwan (34.3%) and China (33.3%)
