Hong Kong’s most prestigious Annual Tasting enters its 8th year

Hong Kong’s largest and most established wine event, the Altaya Wines Annual Tasting, is back on Saturday 22 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Early bird tickets are now on sale at www.altayawines.com and are expected to sell quickly.

The Altaya Wines Annual Tasting has become a much anticipated event in the Hong Kong wine calendar. With over 60 world-class wineries on show, wine lovers revel in the opportunity to meet and greet winemakers from around the globe and taste some of the world’s most celebrated wines.

“The Altaya Wines Annual Tasting has built a reputation for the variety and quality of wines shown. This year, we will have over 250 wines available for tasting, from all over the world. It is a chance to journey across continents to discover the astonishing range and diversity of wine available right here in Hong Kong,” says Paulo Pong, Managing Director of Altaya Wines.

“The Annual Tasting event gives wine lovers the chance to come face-to-face with the people behind the extensive selection of wines available at Altaya Wines.”

World-class wineries from France, Italy, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and the USA will be exhibiting at the 8th Annual Tasting. Approximately half of the wines available at the event are available exclusively in Hong Kong at Altaya Wines.

French wines are a feature of the annual event, and those who attend will be delighted to taste wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Southern France, Alsace and Rhone Valley.

Bordeaux blends from wineries such as Palmer, Mouton and Latour will whet the palate and tantalise the taste buds, with their depth and wide array of flavors. With almost 30 Bordeaux wineries on show, from boutique vineyards to world-renowned wineries, the Annual Tasting is a Bordeaux lovers delight.

Some notable wineries from Burgundy include Alain Chavy, Cordier, Vincent Giardin and Domaine des Lambrays to name a few.

Champagne lovers will be enamored by some of France’s finest champagne wineries such as Lenoble,Marguet Pere et Fils, Salon and Pol Roger.

Other notable wine producers who will be present are Rippon from Central Otago, New Zealand, Giant Steps from the Yarra Valley in South Eastern Australia, Fisher Vineyards from California in the USA andBeaucastel from the Rhone Valley in Southern France.

Early-bird tickets are available until 7 November for $590 at www.altayawines.com and include a Riedel glass valued at $135. After 7 November tickets will be available online and at the event for $690.
