The airport parking reservation system gives travelers an unprecedented way of planning ahead and reserving airport parking, while also helping airports better manage their terminal parking inventory. In the first phase of launch, HonkTravel is available at Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. This announcement marks a major milestone in Honk’s mission of transforming parking and signals an intent to expand its airport parking inventory via HonkTravel across Canada.
To celebrate the product launch, Honk is offering travelers 10% off their airport parking when booked in advance of travel. Users simply add promo code FLYAWAY at checkout for any airport parking at Toronto Pearson International Airport or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport where Honk is accepted. This offer expires at midnight on September 3rd, 2018.
HonkTravel removes any uncertainty and friction on the traveler’s side – flyers can download the iOS or Android mobile app to reserve terminal parking up to 60 days in advance of their trip. This flexibility allows travelers to compare parking rates in advance, ensuring they’re getting the best available rate, as well as a guaranteed parking spot, all before leaving the front-door. Once reserved, Honk users receive a barcode to scan upon entering and exiting the parking garage or lot. HonkTravel allows travelers to easily modify their parking session directly from the app, receiving a full refund from a changed reservation – perfect for any unforeseen flight delay, or extended business trip.
Honk launched its services at Toronto Pearson International Airport earlier this summer, where HonkTravel was made available at all terminals, valet care and value lots. The product is also available at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport for travellers flying out of Toronto’s airport in the downtown core at nearby lots, easily accessed by Billy Bishop’s shuttle service. Since adoption at both airports, HonkTravel has seen tremendous intake from both business and leisure travelers.
