The iconic and much loved Metropolitan Hotel Sydney on George Street has added a new pie special to its menu in time for the change in season.
For the month of October, The Metropolitan Hotel will be offering a rabbit and wild mushroom pie with creamy mash and peas with a White Rabbit Dark or White Ale, all for just $20.
The creation of Executive Chef James Shaw, the rabbit and mushroom pie came to be after Shaw’s rabbit ragu pasta dish was a huge success for the hotel. “Pairing it with White Rabbit beer seemed like the perfect accompaniment,” said Shaw.
As the months become warmer and spring turns into summer, the rooftop bar at the Metropolitan Hotel is the place to be, as new bar stools, tables and umbrellas complementing the space. A popular venue for private events, the rooftop can be hired for exclusive use and coming into the festive season is the ultimate space for office Christmas parties and New Year celebrations.
After reopening in 2013 after an extensive 12-month renovation, The Metropolitan Hotel Sydney has been completely transformed, boasting bold red and cream paisley carpets, feature lighting, new bar stools and tables, while red lacquered window frames and balustrades tie in with the contemporary new look. An original wing of the building – which was built in 1834, has been transformed into a private dining area, ideal for boardroom-style meetings or intimate functions.
The Metropolitan Hotel Sydney is open 6 days a week, Monday through to Saturday from 10am to late.
