Hospitality Industry Veteran Jim Pedone Appointed Director Of Sales And Marketing For Marriott International’s Waikiki Complex

Hospitality industry veteran Jim Pedone has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the four Marriott International properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts: Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The appointment marks a return to Waikiki for Pedone, who worked at Halekulani earlier in his career.

In his new position with Marriott’s Waikiki Complex, he will be responsible for strategic planning in growing target markets and overseeing markets such as North America, Asia-Pacific, Oceania, Europe, and other emerging markets, as well as wholesale, FIT, group, incentive, leisure and business travel. 

A visitor industry executive for more than 25 years, Pedone most recently served as director, sales and marketing for The St. Regis Princeville Resort, and has worked in similar capacities at various resorts such as the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, Miramonte Resort & Spa, La Quinta Resort & Club, and the Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena, Calif. He also has sales and marketing experience with Hyatt and Fairmont hotels. Pedone holds a degree in business administration from Cleveland State University and enjoys spending time with family and golfing in his spare time.
