Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH), today launched the second edition of the Hospitality Investment Conference Indonesia (HICI) from 28 to 29 April at The Raffles, Jakarta, Indonesia.

In support of the Indonesian Tourism Ministry’s efforts to garner 20 million foreign visitors by 2020, HICI 2016 seeks to play a vital role by facilitating the development of Indonesia’s hospitality sector. Being the key event for the regional hospitality community, HICI 2016 features more than 40 industry’s experts as speakers over two-day conference, discussing opportunities and challenges within the archipelago.
The discussion topics on the first day include the Indonesian development outlook; hotel branding and designing; achieving operational excellence and hotel openings; as well as the different hospitality market segments in Indonesia.
The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia will host Day Two of the conference where Minister Arief Yahya will be giving his keynote address. This will be followed by an intriguing panel discussion on new destinations by key Indonesian government stakeholders.
Mr Henky Manurung, Head of Tourism Investment division, Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, said: “HICI has established itself as the preferred platform that facilitates meaningful discussions among hotel owners, operators, developers and investors on the investment opportunities in Indonesia.”
