Hotel News Now Named B2B Website Of The Year

Hotel News Now, a division of STR, Inc., has been named the B2B Website of the Year by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).http://www.itcma.com/

Members of the Hotel News Now staff accepted the national award on 24 July during the presentation of the 2015 Azbee Awards in New York City.

“This is a testament to the hard work and commitment by our entire team to produce timely and relevant content and experiences,” said Jeff Higley, editorial director for Hotel News Now and VP for digital media and communication for STR. “We are honored to receive such an award from an organization that focuses so intently on the betterment of business-to-business publications. Our goal is to utilize the industry’s best practices to produce content that resonates with our target market, and this award re-enforces that our approach remains on track. We will continue to work hard to establish integrity and trust while disseminating important news, data and trends to our readers.”

Entries for the B2B Website of the Year category were judged by the ASBPE on 11 pieces of criteria, topped by the quality of writing, reporting and editing.

In addition to the award for Website of the Year, Hotel News Now earned a national bronze award for a special section or microsite for its 2 September 2014 report titled “The impact of the sharing economy on hotels.”

Hotel News Now launched its site on 17 September 2008. The online news resource comprises a website and numerous email newsletters. Its readership includes executives who own, manage or finance hotels, as well as the managers and employees who oversee the operations of hotels worldwide.
