Condé Nast Traveler has announced the results of its 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards and named Hotel Wailea, Hawaii’s first Relais & Châteaux property, as the #2 Best Hotel in Hawaii for the second year in a row, and the top ranking hotel on the island of Maui.

Designed exclusively for couples, Hotel Wailea achieves this prestigious distinction after completing a $15 million redesign in January 2015 under the direction of Private Label Collection – a full service small luxury hotel management company specializing in rebranding and transitions. The independently owned and operated, all-suite hotel offers an unprecedented level of intimacy, privacy and exclusivity in Hawaii.

“We are honored to be once again recognized among the top hotels in Hawaii by the discerning readers of Condé Nast Traveler, validating our work with Private Label Collection to position Hotel Wailea as the premiere island escape for couples,” said Jonathan McManus, owner of Hotel Wailea and principal of Private Label Collection. “Entering our first winter season as an adults-only hotel, our team has put tremendous focus on offering unparalleled service and enhancing our programming with intimate and authentic island experiences and amenities.”

Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, ranking the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines, and cruise lines in the world. Over 128,000 dedicated readers cast votes for over 5,000 hotels, hundreds of cities and islands, dozens of cruise ships, airlines and airports, and in an average survey time of twenty minutes. The result? More than 1,500 of the best travel experiences in the world.

Set across 15 expansive acres, Hotel Wailea boasts a relaxed beach house design in all 72 one-bedroom suites, a new pool with private residential-style cabanas and an orchard-to-glass apothecary bar. The hotel’s continually evolving culinary program centers on seasonal dining with Hawaiian staples and Maui-grown ingredients, including those sourced from the hotel’s on-property organic farm. Hotel Wailea’s signature restaurant Capische? blends Southern Mediterranean flavors and artisanal Hawaiian products sourced from the hotel’s farm and neighboring purveyors.

As Maui’s premier small luxury hotel, Hotel Wailea offers guests truly personalized and authentic island experiences that embody the spirit of Maui, tailored exclusively for couples. In addition to a carefully curated Island Beach Safari, the resort has recently introduced a wellness partnership with ALOHA, offering the healthy lifestyle brand’s superfood powders and snacks in-suite and incorporating them into cocktails at the apothecary pool bar. Further raising the bar on its wellness portfolio, Hotel Wailea will debut a new ocean view treehouse in 2016. Set among the mango tree canopies, the new treehouse will offer private couples spa treatments.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.” Under Editor in Chief Pilar Guzmán, the Readers’ Choice Awards have become more selective and specific to the passions that inspire today’s travelers.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are announced in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, on newsstands nationwide on October 28, 2015. The full list is published exclusively online, at http://www.CNTraveler.com/rca.
