Hotelintel.co turned one year old this week, and celebrated its birthday with hoteliers, hotel owners, and suppliers on the 27th of August at Cellar 11, in Bangkok.
Addressing the gathering, publisher Wimintra Jangnin first of all expressed her gratitude to all those in attendance for their contribution to Hotelintel.co’s successful first year. She also noted that in addition to the range of hotel news, interviews and features, Hotelintel.co has consistently sought to present three particular categories in which the industry can make a difference in improving society: CSR, environmental issues, and the promotion of women, especially in the Asian region. New ideas for Hotelintel.co’s future plans were also revealed.
“We will be opening a classified section where you can post openings in your organization, and also for candidates to upload a resume. I know how hard it can be to find the right person for the right job and I hope this platform can help connect potential employees and employers.”
In keeping with this theme of bringing people together and giving back to the community, Wimintra believes that Hotelintel.co also has something new to offer the regional hotel industry. Everyone benefits from the support of others, especially in a close-knit business such as hospitality, so she is creating an event next year for industry professionals to meet up and exchange information, insights, and issues.
“I’d like to introduce you to our new exciting project, ‘ASEAN Tourism Economy and Marketing Summit’ that is created for the ASEAN hotel market. We will have panel discussions, debates, presentations, and also some training to offer. I firmly believe that we’re all in this together, and we will drive our business together. We share the same passion and fate and we should look out for each other.”
