HotelQuickly now offers multi-night booking to better enhance serve

Popular hotel booking app HotelQuickly now allows users to book for multiple nights. While booking still has to be done at the day of check-in, the added feature is a response to a popular market demand and will allow the Hong Kong based startup to extend it’s target market .

Since then, the venture has extended its reach tremendously: 4 more countries including Australia were added, and more than twice the number of cities are now available on the app.

Apart from expanding geographically, the team behind HotelQuickly has put a lot of emphasis on product development. The iOS and Android apps were significantly improved to enhance overall performance and since earlier this month, HotelQuickly is also available for BlackBerry Z10 and Q10.

This helps us a lot to prioritize the IT pipeline and to develop our product based on market needs”, says CEO Tomas Laboutka. The strategy of listening to early adopters has helped the startup to achieve a growth in popularity: Earlier this month, HotelQuickly announced to have registered more than 100,000 downloads of their app across all platforms.

“Multi-night booking was by far the most popular request, and we are happy to now allow our users to book for more than one night”, continues Laboutka.

The concept remains the same: The first night is discounted over prices available on the Internet, as hotels can use the fenced sales channel to optimize their occupancy and sell off distressed inventory. The prices for the following nights will be on par with the prices found on websites such as Expedia or Agoda. “There is little reason to still spend time on traditional online travel agency websites, unless a specific hotel is desired or the trip goes into a location where HotelQuickly does not offer deals yet”, adds Laboutka with a wink.

Multi-night booking will certainly help HotelQuickly to accelerate adoption in the region. Especially for weekend trips starting on Friday, this added feature will come in handy. The app is available globally and for free on iTunes, Google Play, and BlackBerry World.
