House of Travel won three out of the four categories it was nominated for and was a finalist in the remaining category “Best Travel Agency Corporate – Single Location”. Their titles included the prestigious award of Best Travel Agency Retail, Multi Location. House of Travel Lakers Invercargill was awarded the Best Travel Agency, Single Location, and House of Travel’s corporate arm, The Orbit Corporate Travel Group, was awarded Best Travel Agency Corporate, Multi Location.

TravelManagers’ General Manager Michael Gazal says, “We are thrilled to see our New Zealand counterparts dominating the AFTA New Zealand Industry Awards. The company’s success is a huge endorsement of its partnership focused business model and further supports TravelManagers position as being the leading Australasian mobile travel consultant host agency with close to 1200 personal travel managers and travel consultants across both countries.”

Gazal says through the combined partnership with the House of Travel Group in New Zealand, TravelManagers has an enviable distribution network throughout Australasia.

“It results in substantial buying power and competitive advantage. Combined with exceptionally strong and effective regional relationships with our key airline, cruise and international tour operators is it no surprise that our combined sales volumes are close to AU$1 billion.”

TravelManagers as part of the House of Travel Group share similar cultural philosophies.

“Our collective aim is to turn every single transaction into a long-term client relationship where clients feel confident calling on the expert advice of their personal travel manager when booking their holidays and business travel. TravelManagers and the House of Travel Group continually focus on building strong client relationships and providing exceptional client service, expertise and unrivalled travel advice,” says Gazal.

TravelManagers has been named a finalist in the 2013 National Travel Industry Awards for the fifth consecutive year in the ‘Best Travel Agency Retail – Multi Location’.  Personal travel manager, Ric Pattaro from Sydney, New South Wales has also been nominated as a finalist in the ‘Best Travel Consultant – Corporate’ supporting TravelManagers professional approach in both the retail and corporate space. The award ceremony will be held in Sydney on 20 July.
