CLEAR received a lively Houston welcome during a recent press conference at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

In just a few short weeks, hundreds of Houston travelers have signed up to receive the VIP treatment using the three-month free trial promotional code “LUVHOUSTON.” CLEAR membership is $179 per year thereafter.

During the press event, executives representing the City of Houston, Houston Airport System, Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau and Asian Chamber of Commerce talked about the value CLEAR brings to Houston travelers. Sharing CLEAR member benefits, CLEAR Chairman and CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker remarked, “With the CLEARcard, business and leisure travel is completely transformed. It’s about getting through security quickly, saving time and being a delighted traveler. It’s a great day for CLEAR and a great day for Houston.”

Seidman-Becker was named by as one of the seven most powerful women to watch in 2014. Seeing great potential in the business model, Seidman-Becker (a former hedge-fund founding partner), purchased CLEAR in 2010 and has since opened CLEARlanes in nine airports, verifying the identities of members at least 1.4 million times, with the professionalism and support of 200 dedicated employees.

Houston traffic combined with standing in airport security lines can add hours to the travel process. However, with CLEAR, travelers feel like a VIP with fast and easy airport security clearance shaving off up to two hours of time and greatly enhancing the overall travel experience.

“Accenture has a culture of growth, innovation and identifying efficiencies, and that’s why becoming a CLEAR corporate member was a simple choice for our employees,” said Accenture Senior Manager Brent J. Knipfer. “CLEAR gives the valuable commodity of time back to our employees, which is better spent serving our clients rather than standing in security lines.”

“Locally, CLEAR will provide annual revenue to airports and create job opportunities, with no cost to local government, airports or taxpayers,” commented Seidman-Becker. “Houston’s forward-thinking culture makes it a natural hub for CLEAR. We’ve also enjoyed giving back to the Houston community in meaningful ways such as being a proud sponsor of the Chevron Houston Marathon. Our employees are fast becoming integral members of the Houston technology and philanthropic landscapes demonstrating our commitment in cities where we operate.”

CLEAR enrollment can be started online at or at any airport where CLEAR operates. With promotional code “LUVHOUSTON,” passengers through Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental or William P. Hobby airports may receive a free three-month trial membership.
