The Old England Students Association under Royal Patronage (OESA), led by its President, Burin Nakcharoen, is hosting a Charity Concert Gala Dinner on the occasion of the OESA’s 80th anniversary on Wednesday 30 July 2014 from 18.00 hrs to 23.00 hrs at Napalai Ballroom, Dusit Thani Bangkok.

The event marks a poignant occasion in the club’s history, the 80th anniversary of one of Thailand’s most venerable international post-graduate student associations. HRH Princess Soamsawali has kindly consented to graciously preside over this special event.  Funds raised during the evening will go towards the ongoing refurbishment of OESA’s clubhouse and facilities on Petchburi Road Bangkok, and also to HRH Princess Soamsawali’s benevolent fund.

Honorary guests will include former Prime Minister Anand Panyarachun, Director of the Crown Property Bureau; Dr. Chirayu and Thanpuying Oranuj Israngura Na Ayudhya; Chote and Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich; Amares and Patra Sila-on; Dr. Suvit and Khunying Songsuda Yodmani and other esteemed members of Thai society. Entertaining the guests will be Dr. Taweewet Srinarong (Paye) of “The Vietrio” and friends.

Phase One of the clubhouse redevelopment will see work completed on the clubhouse, restaurants, the OESA School of English and the joining exhibition hall. The completed construction will eventually include a fitness centre, swimming pool and tennis court, offering a dedicated and beautiful complex for the use of OESA club members. All remedial work is to be completed with respect to retaining the existing facility façade, which is to remain completely original following project completion.

Tickets are priced at THB 3,000 and THB 5,000, or tables of 10 at THB 30,000 (or THB 50,000). Dress code applies: dark suit and long evening dress. The OESA is open to Thai and international former students of the UK, and membership is selectively approved on a committee basis.

For further information, reservation and purchase of tickets, please call K.Ploywarong Chawanvarakiat (Bam) on tel. 084 665 7662. Club members and members of the public may also make voluntary donations via the same contact method.
